HOUSTON, TX (January 14, 2014)—U.S. Capital Advisors LLC (“USCA”) announced that it has hired Steve Head as Senior Managing Director and Dallas Market Manager. Steve will be leading the expansion of USCA Wealth Management in the Dallas market. Prior to joining USCA, Steve was Managing Director and Regional Manager for Barclays Wealth and Investment Management where he managed the Dallas and Houston wealth management offices for the past three years.
“Steve’s deep industry knowledge and significant network of industry and regional relationships provide an ideal background to lead our expansion into the Dallas market,” said Patrick Mendenhall, Managing Partner and Head of Wealth Management at USCA. “Steve’s experience in Wealth Management as well as his expertise in capital markets will make him particularly effective in translating the USCA platform to sophisticated financial advisors,” added Mendenhall.
Steve has over 30 years of financial services experience with specific focuses in the Wealth Management, Capital Markets and Investment Management business segments. His broad and diverse experience includes leadership positions at a variety of firms from global investment banks like Credit Suisse and UBS to large alternative investment managers like Carlson Capital.

Mr. Head holds a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been active on many boards at the University of Texas, serving as past President of the University of Texas Alumni Association and as an appointed member of the Men’s Athletic Council. He currently serves on the boards of the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association, the Baylor Health Care System Foundation, and the University of Texas Development Board. He is also a member of the Longhorn Foundation Advisory Board, the University of Texas President’s Associates and the UT System Chancellor’s Council.
