Dec 3 (Reuters) - Patrick Mendenhall, an ex-UBS manager who started his own firm earlier this year, has landed another blow against his former employer, nabbing a $3.1 million UBS adviser team.
David Harris and Ann Deaton joined Mendenhall's US Capital Advisors in Houston late Thursday, according to filings with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Harris spent over six years and Deaton spent over four years at UBS Wealth Management Americas, according to the filings.
The pair previously oversaw $650 million of client and generated $3.1 million in annual fees and commissions, according to a source familiar with their business.
Mendenhall has now recruited seven advisers from UBS, where he spent a total of 19 years, including 15 years managing the firm's brokerage complex in downtown Houston.
