Mr. Fidell is a Managing Director in equity research responsible for coverage of Utilities and Grid Infrastructure at U.S. Capital Advisors. He has 19 years of sell-side investment experience specializing in the downstream natural gas utility, electric utility and related-infrastructure industries. Mr. Fidell joined the Equity Research Department of Brean Murray, Carret & Co. in 2007 as Senior Vice President and Senior Analyst covering natural gas and electric distribution utilities and infrastructure-related companies focused on improving the efficiency of the U.S. power grid.
Previously, Mr. Fidell spent 15 years as a sell-side equity analyst for A.G. Edwards (1992-2007) covering the natural gas distribution industry and the alternative energy industry. He has been recognized on numerous occasions by Institutional Investor, the Wall Street Journal, StarMine and Greenwich Associates for his research, analysis and stock selection in the natural gas and electric utility industries. Most recently, he was awarded top honors by The Wall Street Journal’s ‘Best on the Street’ survey for stock picking in May 2009 (1st Place of 54).
Mr. Fidell holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Loyola University and a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He is frequently quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News and Dow Jones News and his comments have appeared in Fortune, Forbes, Smart Money and various other financial and energy-related publications. Mr. Fidell lives in St. Louis with his wife and their two children.
